Poor pay, poor self-esteem and professionalism goes for a toss

My grievance has been that Indian police is unprofessional, devoid of the general capability for forensic investigation. It depends on the use of third degree and can, if it chooses to, get a conviction by making a criminal out of an innocent.

Terror attacks by now just around the corner, the deed carried out with the knowledge that the chances of being caught are minimal. Given my premise, I am not sure if all the really guilty have been brought to book in cases where they say 'success' has been possible in solving them.

Now, it transpires that even the guys recruited for an elite Intelligence unit in Maharashtra are fleeing, even before completion of their training, because of low pay. Low pay makes for low self-esteem. Which does not add to professionalism, which anyhow is missing.
